Tips to Educate Children by Rasululloh
There are people who say "the child is difficult to learn if the one who teaches his parents, is different from the one who teaches his teacher". This expression is often heard by our society, because the difficulty of children themselves is regulated by their parents is different from being regulated by their teachers. Why is that?
First, because parents are considered by the child to have no impact on the value of the rapot so it will not affect the increase in his class. Unlike the teacher, the child will be afraid because if they do not obey the teacher's orders then they can not go to class.
Second, the child assumes that parents will not be angry if their child does not obey the orders of their parents. If the parents get angry, then the child will usually complain to one of his parents. If his father is angry then complain to his mother, and vice versa if his mother is angry will complain to his mother. Or if both are angry the child will complain to his grandmother or grandfather. Both will defend their grandchildren.
Third, how to educate children may not be in accordance with the present day. In the past parents often used ways that might now be considered child abuse.
Well then how parents teach their children especially in Ramadan as it is today. The answer is certainly to learn from the way Rasululloh educated his son. Because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a figure of uswatun hasanah (good example), can be a role model for parents in educating children.
Here are tips for educating children from the Prophet:
First, parents must introduce God early on, from infancy to adulthood. Who God is and god's purpose in creating mankind. Then always build character from an early age, such as forming aqidah and faith that become the initial milestone of success and not children in the future.
Second, teach religious education and morals. The Prophet Muhammad gave guidance and guidance, both rebuking when a child who had made a mistake, and giving praise if he did good.
Third, teaching responsibility and trust, such as carrying out his duties as a human being, namely by carrying out Allah's commandments, from an early age teaches prayer and other obligations such as fasting and zakat fitrah. Parents should set an example first do not just tell their children to do good while their parents are silent.
Fourth, give love and affection to the child. Teach openness in communication and information in all aspects of life, so that children feel comfortable when dealing with their parents.
Fifth, teach you to choose a good friend. Grow a healthy environment, and full of happiness so that a strong generation will be created.
