Tips for Educating Children

One of the things that has never been interrupted even though we have left this world is the "sholeh boy". The prayer of the son is also one of the prayers that God willing granted by Him. How do we educate our children to be beautiful children? Educate him in an Islamic way, such as some of the following tips:

  • Get used to our children waking up at dawn. Example: from an early age, invite him to pray at dawn together or congregational mosque.
  • Give him an islamic educational environment. Example: from an early age follow our children in landfill (Qur'anic Education Park), take courses in mosques, etc. 
  • Set an example, not just selfish attitudes. Example: don't just tell him to learn to pray or pray, but we don't.
  • Invite our children to visit mesijd regularly. Example: routinely, invite our children to pray in the mosque.
  • Introduce the awrah limit from this momenton. Example: if from an early age we get used to our daughters using a veil, then as an adult she will actually feel uncomfortable if she shows her awrah.
  • Get used to our children always bringing prayer equipment,especially for girls.
  • Minimize our children in heard non-Islamic music. Instead, maximize our children to hear verses of the Qur'an or nasyid.
  • Make a schedule to watch TV and accompany children when watching. Keep children away from spectacles that do not contain educational education, such as: soap operas, horror movies, whiny movies, and others. If possible at home, there is no TV.
  • Teach Islamic values directly. Convey the values of Islam that we master to our children. It would be better if it was in the form of an interesting story.
  • Be a loyal friend to him. Make it convenient to make us the main vent so that we will always know the problem.
  • Create a warm and warm atmosphere in the family. If the family no longer feels warm to him, the child will look for an escape elsewhere.
  • Do all of the above tips wisely, patiently and consistently. Never use violence and avoid attitudes that can make him hurt.
